Walter Bogumil joins Genting America East as Chief Financial Officer

The Genting Group, one of the largest Destination Resort operators in the world, announced that one of its members, Genting Americas East, strengthened its team thanks to a new senior-level appointment. The company confirmed last week that it hired the services of Walter Bogumil, an expert with a solid background within the gambling and financial sectors. Joining Genting Americas East, he was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In his new role, Bogumil will oversee strategic financial processes and activities such as internal audit and analysis. He will also be in charge of accounting, corporate development, as well as financial planning and tax.

Currently, Bogumil has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Central Florida. Additionally, the financial expert also holds an MBA from Rollins College. Before becoming a part of Genting's C-suite, Bogumil was a part of Concert Golf Partners. During his tenure with the company, he held the role of CFO. Additionally, his professional background includes senior-level roles and positions within the financial vertical with globally-recognized companies such as Penn National Gaming, Affinity Gaming, as well as SeaWorld Entertainment, among others.

Currently, Genting Americas East operates multiple resorts in the United States. Resorts World New York City, as well as Resorts World Catskills and Resorts World Hudson Valley in upstate New York, are operated by the company. Additionally, Genting Americas East operates the Hilton Miami Downtown in Florida, as well as Resorts World Bimini in the Bahamas.

Robert DeSalvio, Genting America East's President, was excited to see Bogumil join the company's team of experts.
