Scientific Games to introduce a Monopoly progressive jackpot iLottery game

Scientific Games, a leader in the creation of innovative lottery content, has confirmed that it will introduce a new progressive jackpot iLottery game based on Hasbro’s timeless franchise, Monopoly. The game is set to debut during the North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries 2023 which will be taking place from October 30 through November 2 in Milwaukee, the United States.

MONOPOLY Property Payout is a project that Scientific Games worked hard on. The focus has remained on creating a lottery game that was developed in-house with the help of SG Studios’ teams and designers. It makes a fantastic addition to Scientific Games’ continuously expanding portfolio of innovative products, following the recent introduction of HBO's Game of Thrones branded digital and retail lottery games.

Scientific Games VP of Digital Games Steve Hickson has welcomed this opportunity and said that the new iLottery game was focused on accentuating elements of the MONOPOLY brand that players around the world recognized and enjoyed.

"The simulated 3D game board offers an immersive MONOPOLY gameplay experience that stays true to the brand," Hickson added. The new game offers a 3D layout, and it brings the connect-style iLottery game mechanic for an even more immersive and worthwhile experience, the company explains.

The jackpot feature is yet another layer of excitement introduced to the game as it allows players to have something extra to look forward to. Hasbro SVP of Digital Strategy and Licensing Eugene Evans was similarly pleased with this new opportunity. The MONOPOLY brand, Evans explained, was constantly attracting new players in all of its iterations and versions.

He hailed the efforts by SG Studios to build a robust iLottery game based on the MONOPOLY IP. Evans even teased that the developers had already been working on what could be a series of progressive jackpot games that can be linked to the upcoming MONOPOLY Property Payout game as well.

Hickson remained confident that this was the correct path for his company and welcomed the opportunity to leverage Scientific Games’ more than 50 years of lottery game creation experience and management to build a yet another powerful and successful product.
