  • BetBlocker will now present its self-exclusion software to ROGA members, covering 90% of the regulated gambling market in the US
  • ROGA is committed to upping the ante for responsible and safe play in the US, and the addition of BetBlocker helps the association achieve just that

The Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA), consisting of some of the most prominent betting and iGaming companies in the United States, has announced a new partnership with BetBlocker, a tool dedicated to protecting consumers from gambling-related harm and steering them towards help.

BetBlocker to now reaching the majority of sports bettors and casino players in the US

BetBlocker has bet on localization as its chief strategy, ensuring that vulnerable groups such as immigrants and people on a lower budget are covered by its services. The tool, which offers its services for free, has elicited support in numerous countries from local philanthropists who have donated money to translate and localize BetBlocker.

Now, the tool is advancing in the United States. ROGA’s members account for no less than 90% of the regulated gambling market in the country, while BetBlocker allows players to make personal decisions about their gambling habits and restrict themselves from 118,400 gambling operator websites worldwide and 1,500 gambling apps.

The partnership has been hailed by both partners, with Duncan Garvie, Founder at BetBlocker, hailing the significance of working with ROGA and its member operators. Thanks to this, BetBlocker would help remove any remaining barriers for people who seek help to control their gambling habits.

"We’re delighted to partner with the Responsible Online Gaming Association to expand access to BetBlocker across the United States. This collaboration will help tens of thousands of people take meaningful steps to manage their relationship with gambling, regardless of where or how they play," Garvie wrapped up.

Empowering consumers to self-exclude and seek out help

The partnership was similarly welcomed by ROGA Executive Director Jennifer Shatley was similarly excited about the partnership and what it meant for advancing evidence-based practices that help protect consumers from harm.

"Making resources like BetBlocker more visible and accessible is one way we put that mission into action. We’re equipping individuals with practical tools that support their decisions and well-being," Shatley said.

Both ROGA and BetBlocker are focusing on presenting consumers with solutions that can help them understand their gambling habits better.
