Rivalry, a company that focuses on multiple verticals of the gambling industry, has appointed William Correa as VP of Engineering. Starting out as an esports-focused betting company only, Rivalry has quickly progressed and branched out into other areas of the gambling experience, deploying betting and iCasino platforms, and consolidating its industry presence by bringing lessons from esports to the mainstream than the other way around.

The rapid growth has necessitated a stronger team of experts, which is precisely why Correa is arriving. Commenting on his appointment on LinkedIn, the seasoned industry veteran said that he was thrilled to embark on this new journey as VP of Engineering for Rivalry.

"In an era where the perception of gambling ranges from skepticism to concern, I am keen to contribute to a company that upholds the industry’s highest standards of responsibility and integrity," Corea added.

He did not spare Rivalry praise, arguing that the company was defining the future of online betting across all the segments it has touched upon. As a company, Rivalry is all about revolutionizing what the gambling landscape is associated with, Corea said, speaking as a member of this team.

"Our commitment to responsible, ethical, and enjoyable gaming experiences stands at the forefront of everything we do," he added. As a company, Rivalry has led the way in engagement with younger demographics, and specifically Millennials and Gen Z consumers, with Corea very happy to be a part of this team.

Although announced this week, his position has been effective since mid-2023, according to his LinkedIn profile. Correa has relevant experience working for a Toronto-based company, Rangle.io, prior to his joining Rivalry.

He spent with it almost five years, taking various positions, including SVP, Technology and VP of Engineering. Correa also worked as Technical Director, Partner (CTO) at The Pixel Shop for almost four years prior to that.
