Hard Rock Digital, the interactive gaming and betting arm of Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Playtech, a company known for its technological nous and standing in the online gaming industry.

Thanks to this partnership, Hard Rock Digital will receive licensure and access to some of Playtech’s more accomplished products that guarantee smooth player experiences from start to finish. Playtech’s underpinning technology will allow Hard Rock Digital and Hard Rock International to continue to deliver fresh content and a robust ecosystem exemplified by the latter’s portfolio of hospitality, entertainment, and land-based options.

Playtech will deploy its iGaming content along with many of its market-leading slots, random number generator and live dealer table games, and more. All of these will be incorporated seamlessly into Hard Rock Digital’s existing technological platform, allowing the company to roll out the products to the ultimate benefit of consumers.

The partnership will focus on markets outside of the United States and Canada, the companies say, as Hard Rock is looking to scale its reach and global operations in the online gaming vertical. Playtech will offer ancillary services such as marketing, payment advisory, customer support, operational services, and more. The partnership comes with a minor equity ownership stake in Hard Rock Digital, and the company will supply its products and services based on the revenue share model.

Hard Rock Digital has welcomed the investment and the partnership both, noting that it would allow it to further expand its operations. Presently, Hard Rock’s sports betting and iGaming platforms are available in numerous US states, including Arizona, New Jersey, Ohio, and Virginia among others. Hard Rock Digital, though, is hoping to significantly scale its presence in the country and beyond.

Commenting on this opportunity, Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said that the company was very excited to be teaming up with Hard Rock International and embark on this new partnership. He praised the Hard Rock International brand as a marquee name across the globe, and well beyond the gambling segment, with the company securing its name as a purveyor of entertainment and hospitality services.

Weizer also said that Hard Rock had a strong presence in the online gambling space which is now going to become only stronger. Meanwhile, Hard Rock International and Chairman of the Board at Hard Rock Digital, Jim Allen, said that he was very excited to see this strategic partnership come to fruition. This would allow the company to expand its online gaming portfolio and take it to international markets, Allen said.

"This announcement only reinforces our commitment to lead innovation in the gaming industry and expand the ‘Hard Rock’ experience worldwide," Allen noted.
