Palms Casino Resort strengthens C-suite with Stephen Thayer as General Manager

Stephen Thayer, an executive with significant experience within the hotel and casino industry, joined the senior-level team at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority (SMGHA), the governmental instrumentality of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, announced earlier shit week.

As a part of the C-suite, the exec was appointed to the strategic role of General Manager. Bringing extensive experience, unique skills and solid knowledge, Thayer is expected to oversee all operations of the famous casino resort.

Before joining Palms Casino Resort, Thayer most recently was a part of Strat Hotel Casino & Tower.

During his tenure, he held the role of General Manager and oversaw strategic processes, including renovations, enhancements and other objectives that helped elevate the venue's service culture.

Additionally, Thayer's professional background includes important roles with Caesars Entertainment.

While employed by Caesars, he oversaw the company's operations in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City.

Thayer is a recognizable leader with a track record. He is proven to bring success and elevate guest experiences while helping teams grow at each of the hotels and casinos he oversaw.

Undoubtedly, Thayer's appointment at Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas marks a strategic move by the SMGHA.

Only recently, the venue was recognized as the Best Casino in Las Vegas by USA TODAY 10Best.

Besides a plethora of gaming options and a vibrant casino floor, Palms Casino Resort offers a range of bars, restaurants and entertainment options.

Thayer is honored to join Palms Casino Resort

Thayer commented on his appointment in a statement.

Moreover, Thayer said that he anticipates collaborating with the excellent team at Palms Casino Resort, as well as the Tribe to ensure the guests of the venue benefit from unrivaled experiences.

Latisha Prieto, SMGHA's Chairperson, added that it is delightful to see Thayer join the team at Palms Casino Resort.

Although the General Manager's appointment was announced earlier this week, the Authority confirmed that it will be in effect as of September 16, 2024.
