Mike Bean joins Hard Rock Casino Tejon as Property President

Mike Bean, an executive with more than three decades of experience in the gambling industry, was appointed to the role of Property President at Hard Rock Casino Tejon.

New Property President assumes the role on October 5

Confirmation about the senior-level appointment came from Hard Rock Casino Tejon and the Tejon Indian Tribe.

In the role of Property President, Bean will succeed Chris Kelley, who played a central role in navigating the property through its opening and its first year of operating.

Although Hard Rock Casino Tejon confirmed Bean’s appointment this week, the premier gaming and entertainment destination revealed that the executive will assume the role, effective October 5, 2026.

Once Bean assumes the role, he will meet members of different teams and learn about the property's operations.

Octavio Escobedo III, the Chairman of the Tejon Indian Tribe, thanked Kelley for his leadership since the property’s opening and the successful first year of operations, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

"We thank Chris for his leadership and dedication during an important period in our history, and we wish him continued success," the Chairman of the Tejon Indian Tribe revealed.

Moreover, Escobedo III welcomed Bean to the C-suite at Hard Rock Casino Tejon, explaining it is exciting to have an executive of his rank join the property’s team.

"Mike understands tribal gaming and the responsibility that comes with leading an enterprise that supports a Tribal Nation and its future. He has built a reputation for developing strong teams, delivering operational excellence and creating exceptional experiences for guests and team members alike," the Chairman added.

The executive has extensive experience

Before joining the leadership team at Hard Rock Casino Tejon, Bean most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Morongo Casino Resort and Spa.

His career in the gaming and hospitality vertical spans more than 30 years. During this time, Bean accumulated significant knowledge, demonstrated exceptional leadership, and held a number of senior-level positions.

Throughout his extensive career, he led Desert Diamond Casinos and Entertainment in Arizona as Chief Executive Officer.

Moreover, Bean has held other C-suite roles at other recognizable gaming and resort operators.

Jeff Hook, Hard Rock International’s COO, welcomed Bean to the leadership team at Hard Rock Casino Tejon.

"Mike's proven track record and deep experience in tribal gaming make him an outstanding fit for Hard Rock Casino Tejon," the executive said.

Finally, Hook said it is thrilling to see Bean join the Hard Rock family, predicting that his experience will play a major role in the property’s future growth.
