Live! Hotel and Casino Louisiana opens with grand celebration

The owner and operator of hospitality and gaming resorts across the United States, The Cordish Companies, celebrated the grand opening of Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana.

Bossier City's newest gaming, hospitality and entertainment resort announced in December that its grand opening is set for February 13. On that exact date last week, The Cordish Companies hosted a glamorous ceremony, celebrating the opening of the doors of the new $270 million casino resort.

Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana is positioned strategically with access to US Highway 71 and Interstate 20.

The premium gaming and hospitality venue is only 40 miles away from Arkansas and 20 miles from the Texas border and is expected to bring economic stimulus to the region, helping boost tourism while creating new jobs.

The grand opening ceremony included a classic Mardi Gras parade and Second Line, culminating with a breathtaking fireworks display that entertained the guests.

During the grand opening ceremony of the $270 million casino resort, The Cordish Companies welcomed city and state officials, including Louisiana Senator Sam L. Jenkins, Bossier City's Mayor, Thomas Chandler and Bossier Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Johnson.

Also attending were Louisiana Gaming Control Board's Chairman Christopher Hebert, as well as Ed Reed, the Louisiana-native Professional Football Hall of Famer, along with many other local business and community leaders that joined the celebration of the premium gaming and entertainment resort, Casino Guru News learned from a press release.

The opening of the new casino resort marks a monumental moment for the region

Jon Cordish, The Cordish Companies' Principal, shared his excitement about the recent opening of the new world-class entertainment destination.

He pointed to the company's announcement that marked the start of the construction of the massive project.

"We are excited to bring the Live! brand to this region with this stunning property," Jon Cordish added.

Finally, the executive pointed out: "With every detail thoughtfully designed to deliver a premier guest experience, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is set to become the cornerstone of excitement, hospitality, and economic growth for this region."

Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler was similarly delighted, acknowledging that the grand opening marks a "monumental day" for the city, community and the whole region.

"We have eagerly awaited this moment, knowing that Live! will bring an unparalleled level of entertainment excellence to Bossier City," he added.

The opening of the new premium gaming and entertainment resort is expected to generate $34 million in annual salaries.

On the other hand, the massive project is estimated to generate $168 million in the form of taxes for Louisiana and $35 million for Bossier City alone in the first five years of operation.
