The owner and operator of the Yaamava' Resort & Casino, located in San Manuel, California, the San Manuel Entertainment Authority, announced a new senior-level appointment earlier this week. The Authority confirmed that it selected the gambling industry veteran with extensive experience, Kenji Hall, for the role of General Manager of Yaamava' Resort & Casino. In his new role, he succeeds Peter Arceo, who was appointed to the role of Chief Gaming Officer with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians last month.
As General Manager, Hall will oversee the daily performance and hospitality operations of the premium casino resort, a statement reveals. In his new role, he will leverage his extensive leadership capabilities with the ultimate goal to help Yaamava' Resort & Casino grow further and deliver unique experiences for its guests.
Overall, Hall has more than three decades of experience within the gaming and hospitality industry. Throughout his extensive career, he was a part of leading gaming and hospitality companies, including Boyd Gaming, Hilton Hotels, as well as MGM Resorts International.
Back in 2017, he joined San Manuel Casino as Chief Operating Officer-Hospitality. While holding that role, Hall played a key part in the revamp of the Tribe's Bear Springs Hotel located in San Bernardino, California.
After being promoted to Chief Operating Officer-Casino, he was in charge of the expansion, rebranding, as well as reopening of Yaamava'. Under his guidance, the casino resort grew to become the largest casino in the West, offering 165 tables, five high-limit rooms, as well as more than 7,200 slots.
A testament to Hall's success as a leader is Yaamava's recent five-star rating recognition by Forbes Travel Guide for the Serrano Spa. Moreover, the resort was recognized with a four-star rating which was also secured by The Pines Modern Steakhouse.
Sharing his excitement, Hall said: "I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue the Yaamava' legacy as a best-in-class resort and casino." He pointed out that it is an honor for him to take on the new role with the Tribe. Finally, Hall pointed out: "The Tribe's mission, vision and values and our commitment to team members are the key elements in growing our market and delivering exceptional experiences for our valued guests."
Arceo, the Tribe's Chief Gaming Officer, added: "Kenji's expertise in hotel, food and beverage, marketing and gaming operations make him ideally qualified for leading the next generation of service excellence at Yaamava'." Last but not least, Arceo pointed out that thanks to Hall and his team's efforts, the resort is recognized as a leading entertainment destination in California.
