Last month, the largest premier resort casino in the Northeast, Foxwoods Resort Casino, celebrated its 30th anniversary. Promising to get better every year, Foxwoods hinted that it plans property expansion and renovation as well as other exciting initiatives for its guests.
On Tuesday this week, Foxwoods unveiled details regarding planned renovation projects not even a month after its 30th pivotal anniversary. According to the recent announcement, the company plans to open a new sushi restaurant as well as a special sushi suite.
Additionally, Foxwoods said it will revamp its current Veranda Café to a new VIP players lounge. The venue's plans include a new exclusive retail shop for sports cards and other unique sports collectibles. Last but not least, Foxwoods said it reopened its famous Wingstop and announced plans to expand its employee food court.
In a statement, Foxwoods said that offering supreme experiences for its guests and team members remains a key priority for the resort casino. Moreover, the company said that the "new openings signify another wave of enhancements to show our appreciation for all that have supported us over the past thirty years."
Sports fans will undoubtedly like the transformation that Foxwoods plans for its Veranda Café. The existing venue will be revamped as an exclusive VIP players lounge. The exclusive venue will feature 225 seats, a new buffet as well as a 15-seat bar.
Eligible guests will be able to experience the new VIP lounge and enjoy "overlooks the picturesque woods of southeastern Connecticut." The reimagined venue is expected to open for visitors this summer.
The CardVault is another location that will undoubtedly be well received by sports fans. The first-of-its-kind retail outlet allows fans to buy, sell, trade or grade sports cards.
The new venue will offer a walk-in vault that features some of the most popular and wanted cards. Those cars will be on display at the walk-in vault but sports fans will also find other sports collectibles.
According to Foxwoods, CardVault will offer sports fans options to trade, buy or sell cards from different sports leagues such as the NHL, MLB, NHL. Unique artwork and exceptional sports collectibles will also be available.
Besides the CardVault and the VIP lounge, Foxwoods revealed details regarding its newest dining option. The casino resort's improvements will include a new Sushi By Bou dining outlet that features a unique design.
The dining outlet will offer delicious dishes with fine-quality fish. Visitors of Sushi By Bou will also be able to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails as well as imported Japanese beers and sakes. Complementing Sushi By Bou, Foxwoods said that it plans to introduce a luxury hotel suite in the Great Cedar Hotel called Sushi Suite.
Ensuring the well-being and quality experience for guests isn't the only priority for Foxwoods. The company unveiled that it has introduced a brand new food court area for its employees.
The dining area offers seats for up to 325 employees and features multiple dining options. Foxwoods staff that visits the new outlet can enjoy healthy choices, fresh-made sandwiches, pizza, burgers, special entrees and more tasty foods.
