888 Holdings plc has grown its European footprint with yet another important market entry, this time into the German market. The company has launched its renowned Mr Green brand in the newly-regulated iGaming market, reflecting on 888’s growth strategy in the region, and further consolidating the position of its flagship companies.

In this move, 888 sees the opportunity to expand and grow its offer rapidly, lodging a firm foothold in a highly-promising market. For its part, Mr Green is hailed as a "customer-focused" and "best-in-class" solution that will bring around the products and services that local gaming audiences expect.

888’s Mr Green obtained the necessary paperwork to press on with its German rollout earlier this year and is now delivering on this opportunity by setting up its shop and featuring a range of games and products. VP Head of Poker and Managing Director ROW Amit Berkovich welcomed the opportunity to see 888 further expand its footprint in Germany alongside other company brands.

"Its launch is a great example of what focus, collaboration, and dedication can deliver," Berkovich said. He also noted that the platform has been live since late March thanks to the 888 platform’s already established footprint in the market and familiarity with local operating conditions.

"We are excited to introduce thousands more players in the market to our enhanced offer, and look forward to bringing other Mr Green markets onto our single technology platform in the coming months," Berkovich concluded.

More importantly, this is the first time the Mr Green brand has become available in Germany, leveraging the dedicated in-house 888 platforms. Even though this is a first move for Mr Green in the country, the brand already benefits from a strong local awareness of its products, which is giving it a good push from the very get-go.

888 Holdings plc is the operator behind numerous brands, including William Hill, Sports Illustrated, and not least – Mr Green. Recently, William Hill was hit with a £19.2m penalty in the United Kingdom. 888 Holdings has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the highest regulatory standards and stated that the failures that the UKGC had targeted the brand for were committed before the company acquired William Hill’s assets.
