Ontario continues to bring some of the biggest esports, sports, and casino players to the market. Before any entity may enter, though, it needs to pass muster with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). This is the case for Pinnacle, which shared in a press statement, that it has been successful in securing an Internet Gaming Operator registration from the province, marking an important expansion of its global operations.
Pinnacle is launching a local domain, Pinnacle.ca, which will become available to players in the province before very long. Meanwhile, a Gaming Related Supplier registration has also been granted to the B2B division, Pinnacle Solution, which will have the opportunity to provide local sportsbooks with trading and risk management options.
Pinnacle feels very confident about the launch of its own operations in the country as it enjoys 25 years of international track record. The company will focus exclusively on sports, and it will provide local fans with a variety of relevant options, such as NFL and CFL markets, soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, and more.
The company will also feature esports betting markets, with the segment rapidly becoming a focal point of business and consumer interest in North America. Pinnacle CEO Paris Smith welcomed this partnership:
"Ontario’s sports fans and bettors deserve the best betting opportunities, and we’re excited to now service them with just that with the recent approval of our registration from the AGCO."
Smith was happy to see Pinnacle set a foothold in the industry and bring, what she described as the "Winners Welcome" ideology which suggests that Pinnacle is interested in both professional and casual players.
Pinnacle is also one of the earliest adopters of esports solutions and options, with the company looking seriously into the vertical at a time when other companies were struggling to comprehend it. Since then, Pinnacle has scaled its iGaming, esports, and betting offers.
Pinnacle has been busy of late, with the company becoming an official IBIA partner to help tackle fraud. The company also obtained a Malta Gaming Authority license back in March, seeking to strengthen its esports presence in markets regulated under this permit, and it also announced a blockchain partnership with Azuro.
Ontario and North America as a whole, though, remain two of the highest-valued markets that Pinnacle is making further efforts to launch its products and solutions into, covering both traditional sports and esports.
