Look elsewhere for dolphins and for treasure, both are in low supply in this expensive (RTP 94.88%) and plain slot.
Theme is perhaps an overstatement of the unity of Dolphin’s Treasure’s ideas.
The slot is set under the sea and the reels are decorated with various sea creatures. There are in fact no dolphins on the reels, and the treasure in question appears very rarely as the highest paying symbol.
As undersea slots go, it does very little to earn its crustaceans by standing out, having character, or making the scene its own.
The almost comically small effort that went into the theme appears again in the design elements. The graphics are poor, clearly cranked out by Aristocrat’s artists on a decidedly off day.
The animations are also lifted wholesale from other low-end reskins from the Aristocrat stable and the music – when not drowned out by further copy-paste work on the win and spin sounds – is irritating when left on loop.
Gameplay is very simple. The base game is a five reel slot game, with three rows, and twenty win lines.
There is no gamble feature, no additional features in the base game, and a simple free spin bonus game (details below).
The Wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter symbol. Three or more Scatters anywhere on the reels will trigger fifteen free spins.
During the free spins, all wins are tripled. The free spin bonus can be retriggered during the free spins. This doesn’t amount to much variation in gameplay but covers the basics.
This is all pretty standard fare for a low end slot like this.
The return to player of this game is 94.88%, well below our yardstick for average of roughly 96%.
The range of bets on the site we tested ran from a minimum bet per spin of $/£/€1.00 if the player is playing all 20 lines – that comes to $/£/€0.05 per line – up to a maximum of $/£/€100.00 per spin.
The volatility of this game is low, which makes it a dreadful match for our preferred slot machine strategies, especially when paired with the low RTP. Our slot strategies target the highest possible volatility.
A slot this dull in gameplay and ugly to look at should make some effort to charm the player with a generous return to player or an exciting bonus feature.
Instead, Dolphin’s Treasure adds insult to injury by piling a low RTP on top of weak gameplay elements.
We do not recommend this slot.
